Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q. How much does it cost?
A. Memberships are $300 for ten weeks ($30 a week) or you can purchase one week at a time.
Q. What's included?
A. Weekly shares of seasonal Georgia-grown produce and recipes. Eating habits vary by individual, so each share will feed an individual or family based on how much produce you eat at each meal.
Q. Is it cheaper than going to the Farmers Market?A. Yes! On average, boxes will be filled with local produce with a retail value of at least $35.
Q. How do I sign up?A. More information about signing up will be posted soon.
Q. What kind of payment is accepted?
A. We accept credit, debit, Dining Dollars and KCash. Payroll deductions are available for KSU faculty/regular staff. Payroll deductions are not available for occasional, temporary or student workers.
Q. Where do I pick up my produce?
A. Farm baskets may be picked up inside The Commons and Stingers.
Q. What if I can't pick up my bag one week?A. We suggest having your two alternates filled out ahead of time and they can pick up on your behalf with no questions asked! If you do not have any alternates listed, your bag will be donated on your behalf to one of our local community partners in an effort to reduce food insecurity in the local community.
Q. Can I try it first?A. Yes! You will be able to order single shares.
Q. Do you have an example list of what a weekly share might contain?
A. Yes, though every box will vary in variety and quantity, an example share could contain:
- Watermelon Radishes
- Pearson Farms Pecans
- Green Garlic
- Vidalia Onions
- Green Cabbage
- Collard Sprouts
- Aquaponic Bib Lettuce
Q. Do you offer half shares? I don't know if I can eat all the produce.A. All of our shares are full shares; however, we recommend utilizing our “alternates” program to go half and half (or even thirds) with a friend or office partner! This way you can split the produce each week or alternate weekly pickups to fit your produce needs.
